Standing amid shattered helm, blade, and shield
The lone warrior, last to leave the field
Companions in arms, still as stone
The warrior stands alone
Burying comrades one by one
They shall not be forgotten though their lives be done
Victory or defeat is not known
The warrior stands alone
Marching home, the way is long
The warrior kneels before the great Chieftains to sing this song
The Chieftains dislike the visions shown
The warrior stands alone
Sharpening swords to leave homelands
Blood again, stains, mortal hands
Atop a throne of blood, flesh, and bone, amid the seeds wars hast sown
The warrior stands alone
