on his disappointment
with family.

  1. This one hopes that soon,
  2. you will throw off the covers,
  3. stand strong again,
  4. as you are, and face
  5. all the world's colors
  6. emboldened and whole,
  7. again with the sounds
  8. of voices and drums
  9. a source of joy and strength,
  10. a connection to all that can be.

  12. In our differences,
  13. still we are one kind.
